Computing
To support with the delivery of Computing we use Purple Mash. The curriculum aims to be modern and current and is constantly under review as new technology becomes available. The aims of Church Lane Primary School and Nursery is to prepare our children for the life beyond our school, to create digital producers and the digital pioneers of the future. Children will be taught how to use technology in a world that is vastly developing around them but to understand how technology works and why we use them in countless areas of life.
The school aims for children at Church Lane to have 45 minutes of Computing every week from Year 1-6. During this time they will learn to use a wide array of programmes and develop skills to access a modern world. The children will use a wide array of computing equipment to create music, they will learn how to code and debug programmes, they will learn to use the full Microsoft Office suite and children will learn how to email and create webpages.
