PE
This half term PE will be on a Tuesday afternoon at school. The children will then attend swimming on a Wednesday afternoon.
24th - 28th June 2024
This week we have focused on Design Technology. We have worked towards a design brief and created memory cushions.
17th - 21st June 2024
This week we have focused on our humanities work. Exploring Panama and its features for Geography before looking at the Hanoverian Dynasty in History.
10th - 14th June 2024
This week we have written a blog about our pet peeves for English. We continued our holiday preparation unit in Maths. We explored Buddhism and how the Restoration came about in History.
3rd - 7th June 2024
This week we have worked on creating a factsheet about a mythical monster for English. In Maths we have started a unit on budgeting and preparing for holidays. We explored how we see in Science and how shadows are formed.
20th May - 24th May 2024
This week we have completed our Big Write - creating alternative endings or plotlines for Thornhill. We have looked at Hinduism during RE and Geography has had us exploring the natural resources of the world.
13th May - 17th May 2024
This week we have completed the SATs! We couldn't be prouder of the children and their attitude. The week ended with a treat lunch from Dominos.
7th May - 10th May 2024
This week we have continued to prepare for SATs. We have reviewed some of our maths curriculum in a variety of ways including with whiteboards, revision books, Purple Mash ICT and maths games. We have continued exploring a variety of reading texts and discussing Thornhill in our English lessons.

22nd - 26th April 2024
This week we have started our SATs preparation. We have explored problem solving and arithmetic as well as looking at a variety of reading texts.
Our English lessons have focussed around Thornhill.
16th -19th April 2024
This week we have explored translation, reflection and co-ordinates in Maths. We have begun discussing the Fairytale bad guys - ready to write postcards from their prison stays in English.
In Geography we fiound out about non-renewable resources.
