Summer Term 2023
Tennis
On Friday 19th May, four children from Years 3 and 4, took part in an introduction to Tennis at Sleaford Tennis Club, which was run by the Carre's Outreach team.
During the afternoon the children took part in a round robin of different skill based games.
All four children had a great afternoon and worked hard at all the different skill games.
Cricket tournament
On Monday 15th May, eight children from Year 6, took part in a cricket tournament at Sleaford Cricket club.
Church Lane were placed in a group with Horbling Browns Primary School and Rauceby Primary school. The teams played each other once. Church Lane lost the first game, 80 runs to 52 against Browns. They then played against Rauceby, showing more confidence and taking 3 very good wickets but unfortuanelty losing the game 63 runs to 48.
Well done all that took part.
Ultimate Frisbee
On Friday 12th May, six children from Year 6, took part in an Introduction to Ultimate frisbee at St Botolphs Primary School. The children competed against three other schools and showed great skill and team work to win all of their games.
All of the children that took part enjoyed trying out a new sport. Well done!
