Football v William Alvey

On Tuesday 28th March, the Church Lane Football team travelled to William Alvey for the final football league game of the season.

Church Lane started the game well but it was William Alvey who took the early lead. The team did not give up and continued pushing for a equaliser. This did happen and was through the constant pressure and a mixup in defence from William Alvey. Just before half time, William Alvey got stronger and found those finishing boots, grabbing two quick fire goals.

The second half began much the same way the first half finished, with William Alvey putting Church Lane under a lot of pressure. This unfortunatley led to Church Lane conceeding a couple more goals. The team however, showed great determination and did not give up, continuing to try and play some good football.

Well done to the whole team for not giving throughout the wholw season, against some very hard and strong teams.
