Running Challenge
Since returning to school on 8th March, children in Key Stage 2 have been taking part in a running challenge during one of their PE lessons. The challenge was to see how many laps they could complete over the remaining three weeks of the term.
50 laps = Bronze Award
75 laps = Silver Award
100 laps = Gold Award
Well done to all the children who took part and recieved thier cerificate at the end of term!
Holiday Club at Carre's Grammar
Returning to school on 8th March
We are very pleased that we will be open to all pupils from 8th March. A reminder that all pupils will still have their two PE lessons a week, as outlined below, and will need to come to school in their PE kit on these days only.
Reception - Monday and Tuesday.
Year 1 - Tuesday and Wednesday.
Year 2 - Tuesday and Wednesday.
Year 3 - Monday and Friday.
Year 4 - Wednesday and Thursday.
Year 5 - Thursday and Friday.
Year 6 - Monday and Friday.
PE lesson with Mr Motivator
On Wednesday 3rd March, we were lucky enough to have another PE lesson with Mr Motivator. We again collaborated with a number of schools across Lincolnshire, with the aim to inspire as many children (and adults) as possible to keep active!

Dancing lesson with Strictly Star, Joanne Clifton
On Wednesday 25th February, we were very lucky to have a Dance lesson with Strictly star, Joanne Clifton. She taught us a dance routine, which we all had a go at and then answered our questions, showing us the famous Glitterball trophy. We would like to thank Joanne for joining us, virtually and sharing her experiences with us, a very inspirational afternoon.
PE lesson with Mr Motivator
On Monday 22nd February, to kick start the new term, we collaborated with a number of other primary schools from across Lincolnshire, to take part in a PE lesson with Mr Motivator. This was a great way to inspire the children (and adults) at home to keep active during lockdown. All the staff and children, at school dressed up in bright clothes, to embrace the Mr Motivator style! Children and adults at home, also got into the spirit. We all thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would like to thank Mr Motivator for joining us (virtually).

Dance lesson with Strictly's Robin Windsor
On Wednesday 10th February, Church Lane pupils at school and at home, took part in a dance lesson with Robin Windsor, from Strictly Come Dancing. He taught us three different dances including the Cha Cha Cha, Disco and Salsa. We practiced the dances and performed them and Robin chose his winners for each dance. Well done to the winners! Thank you to Robin, for taking time out of his busy schedule to work with us, virtually!
